Location and surroundings

The viewpoint is located at an elevation of 409 m in the municipality of Bolzano, in the district community of Bolzano. The surroundings belong to the “Hillside zones of sub-Mediterranean valleys” landscape unit. Geographically, the viewpoint is located in the mountain group Gruppo della Cima di Giacomo (Jacobspitzegruppe) and in the area of Plonerberg. The nearest locality or hamlet is St. Magdalena. Nearby are Hugel (914 m), Kematscharte (12.3 km) and Stiller Lake (4.3 km).
