The Roen is situated at an elevation of 2,116 meters above sea level, making it the highest point in the Mendola Mountains. While it may not be considered one of the highest mountains in South Tyrol, it is renowned for its panoramic vistas. The Roen provides a magnificent 360-degree view, encompassing the Dolomites to the east, the Brenta and Adamello Groups, and even the Ortler Group to the west. In addition to its breathtaking views, the Roen also offers a fascinating contrast in scenery. Its western slope gradually descends, adorned with mountain pines and meadows, leading into the Val di Non, while its eastern flank abruptly plunges into the lowlands of South Tyrol.
