Entrance Gaulschlucht

Entrance into the Gaulschlucht (gorge of Ultner creek) above Lana. From the hiking trail called “Gaulpromenade” you look over the villages Lana, Postal and Gargazon in the Adige Valley. Hike through gorge Gaul

Location and surroundings

The viewpoint is located at an elevation of 347 m in the municipality of Lana, in the district community of Burggrafenamt. The surroundings belong to the “Hillside zones of sub-Mediterranean valleys” landscape unit. Geographically, the viewpoint is located in the mountain group Venezia-Sternai Range and in the area of Nörder. The nearest locality or hamlet is Lana. Nearby are Jochberg (3.9 km), Völlan Pass (5.9 km) and Small Lakes (4.0 km).
